President’s Column: November 2015
The end of 2015 is approaching fast. Can you believe it’s almost Thanksgiving? It’s been a busy year for me. I began my tenure as president of Cartoonists Northwest in January. I was the first to present to the group in the new year. Well, my time is coming to an end. I will not be seeking another term as president of Cartoonists Northwest. It’s been a very rewarding experience for me these past 11 months. I got to share my work and thoughts with all of you who cared to read this article or attend one of my presentations. I hope you got something out of them. I know I did. Just conveying information I’ve read about or ideas I’ve thought of helped me to enhance my own abilities as an artist, communicator, and overall creative person. Thank you all for your interest. Feel free to contact me anytime if you found anything I’ve written about interesting and perhaps even inspiring! That was my goal, to motivate and inspire you while doing the same for myself. You can find all of my past articles at the CNW website under “President’s Column” on the top menu. Check it out at http://www.cartoonistsnorthwest.com. Drop me a line at email@example.com.
So what’s next? Well, I still have one more month in my administration to go. That means one more President’s column. I will follow up with author David B. Levy and ask him some questions about pitching ideas to media companies other than network television studios. These include graphic novels, children’s books, and game developers. It should be the perfect article to cap off the year. See you in December!
