Howdy Friends,

Well, our 20th Annual Golden Toonie™ Awards were a great success. Many many thanks to everyone who jumped in to help set up, tear down and everything in between.

T. Lewis was an incredible special guest speaker who brought an outstanding presentation of how he got from there to here!  He offered very insightful and intriguing information.  Attendees were spellbound by his colorful slide show and it will long be remembered!  Congratulations to all of our favorite artists and special awardees at the Golden Toonie™ awards last month.

You may have noticed that our website has been redesigned by Georgia Ball. Georgia and is looking for information to keep it up-to-date.  Note: Georgia is the writer for the new comic book “Strawberry Shortcake” to be released soon, so watch for it in your favorite comic book shops.

We posted a couple of Mission Statements at the last meeting, and Kevin Boze wrote the one was selected as the favorite.  Congrats Kevin.  He won a year’s free membership to Cartoonists Northwest.  Thanks to everyone who submitted their ideas!

This year, Cartoonists Northwest is celebrating our 30th anniversary as an organization.  Thanks to everyone who helped keep CNW going strong by volunteering time and paying dues.

Now, let’s get busy and work on our next 30 years together, and let’s really focus on how we can be more effective as a networking group.  I know it has made a difference in the past.  Let’s combine our efforts to make a difference in our future, too.  And also,  many thanks to everyone in our past, present and future!!    It’s a very good thing!
